Product Care

With the right care, your Myka Home pieces will look beautiful for years to come.

Every material has its own care requirements. Below you'll find straightforward guidance for the materials most commonly found across our range — from solid timber and marble to fabric, leather, and rattan.

Timber & Wood Veneer

  • Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth
  • Wipe spills immediately with a slightly damp cloth — never saturate
  • Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading
  • Use coasters and placemats to protect from heat and moisture
  • Apply furniture wax or oil occasionally (solid timber only)
  • Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive cloths

Upholstered Fabric

  • Vacuum regularly with a soft brush attachment
  • Blot spills immediately — do not rub
  • Use a mild fabric cleaner for stubborn stains
  • Rotate and plump cushions regularly to maintain shape
  • Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading
  • Professional cleaning recommended annually

Outdoor Furniture

  • Clean regularly with mild soapy water and rinse thoroughly
  • Store cushions indoors or in a weatherproof box when not in use
  • Cover furniture during winter or extended periods of non-use
  • For metal frames, apply protective wax seasonally
  • Inspect joints and fixings annually and tighten as needed

Leather

Wipe with a damp cloth. Condition every 6–12 months. Keep from direct heat and sunlight. Blot spills immediately.

Marble & Stone

Wipe spills immediately. Use pH-neutral cleaner only. Seal annually. Avoid acidic products like vinegar or citrus.

Rattan & Cane

Dust with a soft brush. Wipe with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight which causes drying and cracking.

Metal

Wipe and dry immediately to prevent water marks. Use mild detergent for grease. Polish brass finishes occasionally.

Glass

Clean with a glass cleaner and soft cloth. Avoid abrasives. Handle edges carefully to prevent chipping.

Assembly

Follow included instructions carefully. Use provided hardware only. Two-person assembly recommended for larger pieces.
